Good, not great. Highly entertaining. Funny at points. A bit outrageous to the point of ridiculousness. Although self-deprecating, he comes off as an egomaniac.

Bourdain is a better writer than a cook. This entertaining memoir will make you never want to eat out again especially at Tony's Restauarant Les Halles in NYC.

I used to dream of not starting my own restaurant. I still don't. Bourdain has certainly impacted the way I dine though.

embellished or not, i tend to believe this guy. you can hear the passion on the audio book which is a really entertaining read.. bams the competition nicely.
