I really adore this book, the main character is fairly believable, engaging, and anything but a Mary Sue, with how often he screws up. Sequels are even better.

I read the first 2 books, and read part of the third book. For some reason I completely lost interest. Going looking back the story itself just isn't gripping.

Wonderful series, couldn't put it down. Simple in it's focus yet immensely complex in the world she creates. It is a tragedy, but not in the normal sense.
