Poignant and hilarious, honest and ludicrous, AHWOSG will both move and amaze you, make you cry and laugh. Sometimes simultaneously. A true work of genius.

One of my favorite books. Painfully awkward at times and almost too self-aware, the book actually manages to live up to its (admitted) ridiculous title.

Froeb
My favorite contemporary novel. Dave Eggers life is the best possible fodder for a novel. It's emotional high points still resound with me today.

There were parts I really enjoyed then other parts I found myself skimming the hell out of.

It's typically 90's in a very self-indulgent and tongue-in-cheek manner. The story is amusing and easy to follow. What I consider a "fun read".

Considering how young Eggars was when he wrote this, it is a remarkable book. I'm still waiting on his work to succeed it in quality and brilliance.

First two hundred or so pages are an amazing read. After that, it was like being trapped in a bad party conversation.

I was amazed by Dave Eggers's story when I read it a few years ago. Didn't really care for You Shall Know Our Velocity, though.

Doesn't quite live up to the title but you gotta admire him for trying. It was intelligent, quirky and a bit sad. Recommended for sure.

I was gonna blip this. I thought for sure I would be the first. It is a great story. I read it over a couple days. Hard to put down.
