While I give props to the guy for the sheer volume of writing, I could never make it past the first quarter. His writing style is way to laborious for my taste.

Beginning of a great series! Jordan is the new Tolkien. Although you need to "get" the story to really enjoy the later books.
First in a long series, introduces the reader to a facinating world full of a variety of characters. Good, though later in the series the quality drops.
