True pulp fiction, set in the modern day Chicago Harry Dresden is a real wizard and a darn good one at that. Reads Like a PI novel and well worth it.

A bit of wizarding, a bit of mystery, a bit of action-suspense. You will fall in love with Harry Dresden, Wizard For Hire.

Outstanding urban fiction. The start of one of the most entertaining series I have ever read... a friend described it as popcorn flavored crack, aka addicting.

Started off slowly, but introductions often do. I'm looking forward to hitting the rest of the books in this series. "Falcons and falconers."

Viper1969
Fun and an introduction to the series. Not as great as the others, but it's a starting point. Don't hope for great literature, but it's a fun read.

Beleg
A fun book. Not perfect, but well worth the read. Mostly though, a great setup for a really fantastic series.

The weakest of the series, but if you make your way to the end of this book, There's good times waiting in the later books for you as it hits its stride.

Shlock fiction. If you read Hamilton or her ilk, you'll dig it. Not for those that like pointing out plot holes, weak character development, or deus ex machina.
