Mr_Redneck
Entertaining, sure, but nothing overly special. I like the fight seen near the end, though. Nothing like a human puppet.

Classic fantasy adventure, with all the good vs. evil goodness you'd expect.

globalgirl
Hollywood version of novel with it's good vs. evil and little man wins. Humorous in some parts. A pleasant romance and a journey to discover true destiny.

Rider
Popcorn romantic fantasy. An interesting world but the story and characters were a little thin for my tastes. Netflix this but don't buy it.

Analyzer
Provided everything my family wants in a fantastic story. Like the Princess Bride, minus the great dialogue, with modern secial effects. Forgettable Hero.

bperry
On it's own merits this is a great popcorn flick. However compared to modern day fairytale of the original story it lacks much of the flare that made the story.

Hardman
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Worth watching for De Niro's part alone. Not on par with the Princess Bride, but gets close in terms of fun.
