A young man serves in the Kremlin regiment where all soldiers are very handsome choice selection. A certain general serving in the Crimea, employs him as a driver. And in a short time it becomes clear that the driver is chosen as husband-to-be for the light-minded general's daughter. The film director and scriptwriter Pavel Chukhray says: "This film was born from my observations in everyday life, from time to time I encountered people similar to my main hero who make themselves a career owing to their wife's high-ranking parents, trading on a woman's love. This can only arouse indignation, and at the beginning, in my youth that was the case with me. But then I understood, that in real life everything may be much more complicated, that is why my hero in such situation often has more to give than to take... That is how this love triangle human relations drama came in." Just as a number of film director's other works this is a "retro style" film - its action dates back to 1962, the height of the so-called "thaw period" in Russia. The film genre is love and criminal drama, though criminal not in criminal sense, but in political sense. "... The sixties is a very attractive time,- Pavel Chukhray observes. - But life remained hard enough. The action of the film takes place in Sevastopol. On the one hand- the sea, the South, the architecture penetrated with the sun, on the other - strict human relationship, sometimes struggle to death. These poles apart will cause the dramatic tension."
