The John Woo influences are very tangible (awesome doves), but the story in itself is rather tame. Not really movie-worthy, but fun to watch nevertheless.

Superb animation work, but the story is not as elaborate as in Ghost in the Shell, for example.

Ex Machina is visually stunning and contains a heaping helping of big robots and exciting fight sequences, but suffers from a bloated and convoluted storyline.
