Thoroughly enjoy this one. The series suffers from Matrixitis, though. Forget the two sequals exist and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Helped break the long losing streak of the pirate film genre. Made the most of the Disney ride's themes, with more references than one would've ever expected.

Jack Sparrow is probably one of my top 10 characters in a movie/tvshow of all time. It doesnt hurt that Barbossa is too. Still wasn't as good as the ride though.

Hilarious and great for all ages. Johnny Depp stole this movie in every way. Remarkable performance. Avoid the sequels, they aren't terrible but not great.
