Rawer, less polished than Nevermind but also truer to their sound. Songwriting has some lows but is often terrific. Just a complaint: some trimming would help!

I think this is the band's best album. Utterly avant-garde, strong melodies and lyrics, production's supreme from using Steve Albini. Landmark rock album.
