One of the best albums of all time. Perfect for a cold fall day.

this is an amazing record. it's unique, delicate, and smart. "Green Gloves" and "Start a War" are standout tracks with addictive melodies. i adore this band.

A very contemplative and yet strong album, quiet but never boring.

Wry and crushing. Orchestrated within an inch of its life while still posessing the energy of a breakup note hitting a hungover mind like a depth charge.

Great CD and I love the voice of the singer.

I heard 'Boxer' first and was then recommended this. Sealed the deal for me. It's now my favorite National album (so far).

A little more mellow than Alligator, and it did take a couple listens to stick, but now I love these guys.

My Favorite album of 07, it comes in slightly above The Arcade Fire 'Neon Bible'. It takes at least a second listen for the genius of this album to stand out.
