I liked this one better than 1984, actually. Depressing, though.
I liked Brave New World better, but 1984 is one of those books you just have to read. We've always been at war with Eastasia...
I’ve read it some years ago in Portuguese, my mother tongue, and loved it. Made me think a lot. Now I’m reading it in English and I’m really enjoying agai.
Whenever I read this book, it always invades the rest of my day. Not sure if it's a good thing or not, but the book sure keeps me entranced.
Nightmarishly relevant to today. Utterly disturbing, and absolutely fascinating. IMO, should be required reading for any serious student.
Somewhat obtuse and plodding, but worth a read for its historical and literary importance and chillingly prophetic commentary on the modern political climate.
