John Scalzi

The Ghost Brigades

"I liked OMW a little better. Scalzi's got a good sense of humor though occasionally the writing itself needs a little more polish." – krmaxwell

3rd after Old Man's War and Ghost Brigades. Good character insight, though at times Perry gets a little Mary Sue-ish.

Excellent follow-up to OMW. From a completely new point of view, same great style. Keeps you sucked in until the very end.

Scalzi's visions of Humans competing for their place in the universe continue. Strong, sharp writing that continues to feel right up there with Heinlein or Bova.

Feels like the first time I read Haldeman or Heinlein. Smart, interesting, a bit brutal, but fun and very captivating.
