The Pillars of the Earth

"Overhyped and overly long. Ken Follett clearly knows a thing or two about cathedrals, but the story itself really fails to capture any feeling of grandeur." – atalcott

The Pillars of the Earth

"Funny enough I enjoyed this book, it was a great twist between politics, false religion, and clever men. Why all the sex though?? Thats why I won't keep this." – Kiichpan

Great book! I liked the first one (Pillars of the Earth) slightly better, but this was still a great novel.

I actually considered this my favorite novel for a while until I read Ender's Game. It's epic!

Read it 10 years ago. I'm not much for historical novels but this one is a GREAT read.
