Not a bad game by any means, but clearly trying hard just to keep pace with Rock Band in terms of gameplay and song selection. Nothing too exciting or new here.
A solid (if bland) first act is cast aside in favor of a completely unintelligible yet strangely compelling love story. Schizophrenic cinema at its finest.
Classic <a href="/index/producers/Joel+Coen">Coenbrothers. Better titled ‘random adultery and murder’. Not their best film, but not their worst either. Definitely worth watching.
Mindless self-indulgence, and quite a lot of fun. Drops the ‘serious crime drama’ pretense of the Grand Theft Auto games and focuses more on the mayhem.
A decade later and it still hasn’t been topped (though Dawn of War comes close). Balanced to near perfection, and with an incredible story too? RTS bliss.
Conceptually very interesting, and CCP deserves kudos for trying something new, but once you get down to it Eve just isn’t a whole lot of fun to actually play.
Preposterously charming and addictive. Extremely interesting design, both in terms of gameplay and art direction. You’ll never play another game like this.
Truly awe-inspiring. Visually stunning (even today), atmospheric, and surprisingly emotionally involved. Another brilliant game by Team ICO. Absolute must play.
A very solid shooter. The ‘mute hero’ may have been forgivable in the 90s, but now it hampers the kind of dramatic storyline the game seems to want to present.
An inspiring telling of the Battle of Thermopylae, and adaptation of Miller’s comic book. Visually stunning and very ‘stylish’ in every sense of the word.
Orwellian, dystopian porn. Weaving, Rea, and Fry are all absolutely fantastic, and you can tell Portman tried her hardest. One of the best ‘comic book’ films.
A really compelling look at the oft-misunderstood Henry VIII. A few historical accuracies here and there may put off history buffs, but I quite enjoyed it.
