Why, The Gift and Cold are all incredibly haunting. The album demonstrates Lennox's ability to craft great songs as well as be rock's premier vocalist.

Proving that film sequals don't neccessarily suck, its a much stronger movie than the five other Star Wars entries, and arguably the best sci-fi film ever made.

Maybe its just nostalgia, but I still love this album. The keyboards mesh well with the heartier rock sound they were aiming for post Breakfast Club buzz.

The best of the Merchant Ivory films, due to the amazing leads and a strong screen adaptation. Not a big period drama fan, but this is great fillmmaking.

No hit singles, but one of the best albums of the 70's. The compositions are amazing, and he sings with a raw emotional nakedness not heard in later years.

Her strongest album among many great early recordings. Roberta's take on Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow is definitive. Perfect for lazy afternoons by myself.

I remember the excitement I felt when this first came out. Natalie is still a great writer, but this album best showcases her talent. City of Angels is my fave.

The early Roberta Flack albums clearly influenced Norah Jones (same producer) thirty years later. Intelligent arrangements of songs that add depth and clarity.
