Listened to audiobook. About the need for leaders and what it takes to lead a group of like-minded people. No strict how-to lists, but great vision casting.
Terrible dialogue, but that should be expected. The story was contrived from start to finish. Lacks any suspense. Feels more like a Saturday morning cartoon.
Surpassed the hype. Ledger’s Joker is utterly mesmerizing – one of the greatest villains ever. Eckhart and Oldman rise to the occasion. Worth multiple viewings.
Bardem is a truly unsettling villain and earned his Oscar. A very suspenseful film from start to finish. My only gripe is that I was left wanting more closure.
Brendan James is an incredible singer/songwriter/pianist. His debut record is musically and lyrically brilliant. His voice will grip you with every word.
Perhaps my expectations were too high. Nothing compared to the originals. Too many over-the-top scenes (surviving nuke and three waterfalls). Worth one viewing.
Ellen Page won me with her sassy wit. A little unbelievable. You must take a leap of faith that a pregnant 16-year-old girl would handle herself that well.
A decent premise but the film lacked any depth. Visual effects are fun at first but lose their appeal quickly. Not even Sam Jackson can save this flop.
The best book I’ve read on Christian spiritual growth. There isn’t a bit of fluff. Each chapter is only a few pages long, but it’s by no means a quick read.
Great game. The multiplayer is what put the original Xbox on the map. The first time through the levels were fun but they didn’t have much replay value.
Hoffman is amazing, I can’t deny that. Archibald is pretty good too. But it’s difficult for me to get behind any movie when I can’t root for the protagonist.
This might be the best RPG for the original Xbox. Even non-Star Wars fans will enjoy it. Since your guy can choose good or evil it has great replay value.
No radio single, not listed on his website, somewhat hard-to-find. But it’s incredible. Rice, normally known for his lyrics, shines here as a gifted musician.
One of my all-time favorites. Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix turn in extraordinary performances. Director Ridley Scott adds to his impressive resume.
A collection of autobiographical essays about Christian spirituality. I’m a big fan of Miller’s style and ability to communicate depth with an economy of words.
I can’t say it was terrible. My expectations were probably too high. If you like what the show has been producing the last several years you’ll enjoy this film.
Very funny, though both Wilder and Brooks have made better movies. You’ll enjoy it even more if you watch a classic Frankenstein movie or read the book first
Huge disappointment. Jar Jar was a complete disaster. Darth Maul was way too over-the-top. The dialog was terrible. The prequel trilogy never recovered.
Given the fact that it had to finish what Episodes I and II started this movie was probably as good as it could have been. But Padme’s death was terrible.
Better than the prequels, but worst of the classic trilogy. Luke is so whiny in this one! Not as flashy as new sci-fi, but it’s the reason there is new sci-fi.
Easily the best Star Wars film. Ford and Fisher have great chemistry. Overall there is fantastic character development. Sometimes you want the bad guys to win!
My favorite Star Wars scene is in this one: when Luke goes nuts and beats Vader, cutting off his arm. Ewoks were an interesting choice, but in the end it works.
