Michel is a loathsome scoundrel, a boozehound with a penchant for homemade rotgut, a wanted rabblerouser, a slacker, a roustabout, and a general rapscallion.
The novelty wears off quickly. A trio of Japanese girls sing faux-50s songs in Engrish. I find myself fast-forwarding a lot because every song sounds the same.
=(
People hopping in and out of bed with each other. Our main character is fickle and immature. Irrational behavior. A musical version of a Harlequin romance novel
=|
I want to like this, but I don't. Our titular character has no emotional reactions. He so detached that it's difficult for the reader to connect or feel for him
=|
I connect more with the characters at the end than the beginning. Perhaps that was Clowes' intent, a perspective change as you mature - or maybe I'm projecting.
=)
Sometimes you just need some catchy pop. Some fast fun music to smile to, and Junior Senior comes through in spades. Clap your hands and dance, nobody's looking
=)
Adapted from Puccini's La Boheme, Larson's swansong perfectly captures the ideals, dreams, and failures of a "family" of Boho artists. A world of love and death
=D
This adapation is honest to Doctorow's original work and keeps every note, intertwining melodic storyline, and harmonic characterization. Beautifully executed.

Ha ha ha. You're right! Okay, we'll put that in for next push. Also, in the future, feel free to add your ideas and keep track of them on Get Satisfaction, at http://www.getsatisfaction.com/blippr.
