Zhang Ziyi's international debut is quite a statement. Superb casting. I can't recall an action film more 'poetic' than this. Another winner from Ang Lee.
=D
One of the most robust, over the top giant robot games ever made.I'm surprised it was released in the States.A rare example of dubbing so bad, it's great.
=D
Such a cliche, but yes, its strength is its weakness. The strict rules you have to follow are too exact, making the experience more frustrating than fun.

Game producer Akira Yamaoka's involvement shows in the most positive way. One of the better video game movies made. Plays it safe by sticking close to the game.
=)
Understandably, not a substitute for the large size arcade drum. The limited track listing wasn't of much help. Feels rather irrelevant now Rock Band is out.

One of my all time anime favorites. Only 4 episodes but each one hits its mark all the while being unique each time. Shows some of Kenji Kawai's best work.
=D
Hilariously flamboyant. From my experience with the arcade version, this was fun to beat in one visit, if you're not busy laughing at 'man-tower' near the end.

I appreciated the imagination that went into this more than the story. This always makes me crave breakfast & my gf wants a plush Calcifer. Good stuff.
=)
3 important 80's arcade games compiled. Too bad this release has become irrelevant with the steady stream of new comps, including playability on Shenmue II.
=)
I didn't realize how poorly this film has aged until I showed it to my gf who had never seen this. She had the hardest time staying awake. I didn't blame her.
