Great feedback, Raul! We really appreciate it. Here come the answers:The worst: some garbled media items.Data integrity and reliability is one of our biggest concerns and something that we are working on finding fixes for. However, right now we're primarily relying upon Amazon.com's API, which has the same issues--duplication of data, or as you say "garbled media items." We're working on it, but it will take us a little while to derive a solid, long-term solution. Thanks for hanging with us.
Game search tends to be weak, especially with older stuff which can be nicely blippd as well.Again, this has to do with the "garbled media items" piece. We're working on it.
Link to allmusic from the music stuff pages! We'll check it out. No one had yet recommended that and I admit, I'm not too familiar with allmusic myself. Thanks for the recommendation.
Some lists on top blippers/inviters can spur competition and make the thing grow. We're working on a type of top blipprs/community editor solution that would encourage this type of behavior. We fully agree with you and we're on it. Thanks for another solid recommendation!
Some app for facebook/myspace/netvibes could have people noticing blippr.com. We are currently working on a Facebook application. It is our number one priority at this time. Look for something early next month.
Keep up the good work!Thank you, again. These were great pieces of feedback. You should also know that we only have one (yes, one) developer/full-time guy right now, our Chief Executive Geek (real title) Chris (http://blippr.com/p
rofiles/Chris). As a result, we have to really prioritize development. Until we get more people, just keep the feedback coming, and please do spread the word about blippr to everyone you know. We're glad you find it addicting! If you couldn't tell from my own blip count (600+), I think the same. Keep it up!
The site is truly fantastic (and goddamn addictive, my work productivity is not at his best!) but here comes the criticism:- The worst: some garbled media items. When you search for new things, especially music, most times you get a lot of results that clearly refer to the same thing but some with this garbled stuff. Example: you search for 'Nevermind' and you get Nervermind-Nirvana, which is OK, and Nevermind-Geffen (which isn't the artist, but the label). Sometimes you don't notice and click the latter, and after a while you get some people blipping on items of artist 'Geffen' which is not very good!
- Game search tends to be weak, especially with older stuff which can be nicely blippd as well. Maybe it's my fault, for not having played in a long time ;)
