If you want to try out some trendy new clothes but don’t have the time or desire to shop, Stitch Fix is the service for you. And they now offer clothing for men, women, and children, so shopping for the whole family is covered.

How It Works

Through their website, let Stitch Fix know your specific likes and dislikes, and those of your children if you’re setting up a family account, with your style profile. Give Stitch Fix your sizes and tell them your budget, too. Be as specific as possible, especially with your measurements, to be sure you’ll get clothes that you like and that fit. After analyzing your profile a stylist puts together a box of five items for you, along with notes and photos with styling ideas.

Once you receive the box try everything on right away then return to the Stitch Fix website to check out. Let them know what you’ll keep and what you’ll return. Make sure to rate and review each item, to give your stylist a better idea of your preferences for future boxes. Be specific in your item reviews, letting your stylist know exactly why it wasn’t the right item for you.

You have three days to try on clothes and return them. A postage-paid mailing envelope is included in each box. If you need more time to return your items you may request to do so through your account page. Stitch Fix ships to all U.S. states and territories. Returns are made through the USPS.

Along with your stylist-chosen items you can also add basics like socks and intimate apparel to your box for purchase.

You can set up monthly recurring shipments or go to your account and order a box whenever you want one. There are no monthly fees. You only pay when you get a box.

An adult can add children’s profiles to their own account, making it a family account that shares billing and shipping information, but family accounts cannot have more than one adult. Each adult must have his or her own account. Family accounts can share gift cards and credits across all profiles associated with it. Through the referral program, if you and your partner both want accounts one of you can sign up then refer the other and both receive discounts.

Pricing

There’s a $20 styling fee for each box. If you decide to keep all five items in your box, you’ll receive 25% off the entire purchase plus your $20 styling fee is credited toward your purchase. If you keep one to four items, you get the styling fee credit. If you return all of it, the styling fee is not refunded. The styling fee is only charged when you buy a box. There’s no monthly subscription fee.
